1. A prosthetic annulus delivery system comprising:

  • a foldable annuloplasty annular ring configured to have a folded configuration and an un-folded configuration;

    an expansion assembly comprising an expansion member removably connected to said foldable annular ring when in said folded configuration and said un-folded configuration, and an actuating catheter connected to said expansion member;

    an outer catheter coaxially slideably mounted over said expansion assembly between a first position covering said expansion assembly and a second position uncovering said expansion assembly, said catheter having a forward end adapted to receive therein said foldable annular ring and said expansion member when said catheter is arranged in said first position and said annular ring is in said folded configuration, and wherein said expansion assembly is adapted to unfold said annular ring and expel said annular ring from within said forward end of said catheter when said catheter is arranged in said second position uncovering said expansion assembly and said annular ring; and

    a mechanical tissue interface system, wherein said foldable annular ring is adapted to be secured to tissue adjacent said foldable annular ring when said foldable annular ring is unfolded and wherein said mechanical tissue interface system is configured to respond to an applied force to adhere to the adjacent tissue.
