- retrieving stored analyte sensor data;
receiving analyte sensor data from an analyte sensor;
receiving reference measurement values associated with an analyte level;
determining sensitivity values based on the retrieved stored analyte sensor data, the received analyte sensor data and the reference measurement values;
determining a sensitivity parameter of the analyte sensor based on the determined sensitivity values; and
performing a probability analysis of the determined sensitivity parameter to determine a presence of a signal attenuation condition of the analyte sensor.
