1. An apparatus for interactive call handling, the apparatus comprising:

  • memory comprising computer-executable instructions for call routing; and

    a processor executing the computer-executable instructions, the computer-executable instructions, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations comprising;

    receiving from a call handling device an internet call routing query indicative of a call request to a called party;

    providing a presence determination indicative of presence of the called party with respect to a plurality of registered communication devices;

    initiating sending a prompt to the called party at the communication devices that the called party is detected to be present at responsive to the presence determination;

    receiving a reply from the communication device; and

    forwarding the reply to the call-handling device to initiate routing of the call responsive to the reply.
