1. A method for use in an access point (AP), the method comprising:

  • transmitting a first beacon frame that contains a first basic service set identity (BSSID) to a station (STA), wherein the first BSSID is associated with a security credential required for associating with the first BSSID;

    transmitting a second beacon frame that contains a second BSSID to the STA, wherein the second BSSID is associated with an emergency call security credential for associating with the second BSSID;

    receiving an association message that includes a BSSID from the STA;

    determining whether the received association message includes the second BSSID; and

    granting the STA access to the AP on a condition that the received association message includes the second BSSID, wherein the access to the AP is limited to an emergency call to an emergency call center.
