1. A system comprising:
- circuitry configured to detect proximity with at least one device;
circuitry configured to receive at least one non-voice sound generated by the at least one device;
circuitry configured to identify the at least one device based at least partly on at least one of sound type and variation of volume, pitch, and/or tone associated with at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound;
circuitry configured to determine authorization to pair based at least partly on duration of at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound; and
circuitry configured to effect pairing with the at least one device at least partly in response to the authorization to pair and to detected proximity with the at least one device.

21. A method at least partly implemented using one or more processing components, the method comprising:
-
detecting proximity with at least one device; receiving at least one non-voice sound generated by the at least one device; processing the at least one non-voice sound including at least (i) identifying the at least one device based at least partly on at least one of sound type and variation of volume, pitch, and/or tone associated with at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound, and (ii) determining authorization to pair based at least partly on duration of the at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound; and effecting pairing with the at least one device at least partly in response to determining authorization to pair and to detecting proximity with the at least one device.

22. One or more non-transitory computer readable media comprising:
-
one or more instructions for detecting proximity with at least one device; one or more instructions for receiving at least one non-voice sound generated by the at least one device; one or more instructions for processing the at least one non-voice sound including at least (i) identifying the at least one device based at least partly on at least one of sound type and variation of volume, pitch, and/or tone associated with at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound, and (ii) determining authorization to pair based at least partly on duration of the at least one portion of the at least one non-voice sound; and one or more instructions for effecting pairing with the at least one device at least partly in response to determining authorization to pair and to detecting proximity with the at least one device.
