1. A computer-implemented method, comprising:

  • communicating by a server computer with a mobile phone at a first phone number over a data communications network;

    confirming by the server computer, an identity of a user of the mobile phone at the first phone number prior to the user submitting a payment request to the server computer from the mobile phone over the data communications network;

    receiving by the server computer a request initiated from the mobile phone at the first phone number, the request including an identification of an account and an amount;

    in response to the request initiated from the mobile phone at the first phone number, approving the payment request based on the confirming of the identity of the user;

    calculating by the server computer, a number for premium messages to be transmitted based on the amount of the payment request using funds associated with the telephone number; and

    transferring by the server computer funds of from the mobile phone to the account, according to the amount, using a telecommunication carrier, including transmitting the number of premium messages over the data communication network to the mobile phone at the telephone number to charge the account associated with the telephone number.
