- an RFID interrogator, having an interrogator antenna, configured to operate within multiple frequency ranges; and
an RFID device havinga device antenna, the device antenna having a single antenna structure resonant on at least the multiple frequency ranges, andan RFID circuit coupled to the device antenna and configured to use the single antenna structure to communicate with the RFID interrogator according to different protocols simultaneously over the multiple frequency ranges, each protocol of the different protocols using a respective frequency range of the multiple frequency ranges.

receiving radio frequency (RF) signals transmitted using different protocols simultaneously over different frequency ranges of a single antenna structure of an antenna coupled to a radio frequency identification (RFID) device, the single antenna structure resonate on the different frequency ranges, each protocol of the different protocols using a respective frequency range of the different frequency ranges; and processing the received signals according to the protocols associated with the frequency ranges to communicate over each frequency range simultaneously. - View Dependent Claims (18, 19, 20, 21)
