Abstract
A conveyor comprising a conveyor belt having rollers with metallic or magnetic rotors. A magnet or metallic element next to the conveyor belt is positioned to rotate the rotor. A magnetic field produced by the magnet or by the magnetic rotor rotates the rollers as they pass the magnetic field or as the magnetic field is changed.

13. A conveyor comprising:
-
a conveyor belt advancing in a direction of belt travel and having a plurality of rollers; a plurality of magnets producing a magnetic field that passes through the conveyor belt and interacts with the rollers, wherein the advancing of the conveyor belt in the direction of belt travel through the magnetic field causes the interaction of the magnetic field with the rollers to rotate the rollers. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16, 17)

18. A conveyor comprising:
-
a conveyor belt advancing in a direction of belt travel and having a plurality of rollers having rotors made of a magnetic material to produce a magnetic field, wherein the rotors have magnetic poles; a plurality of metallic elements underlying the advancing conveyor belt and interacting with the magnetic field produced by the rotors to cause the rollers to rotate by the magnetic attraction of the magnetic poles to the metallic elements.
