1. A data acquisition method for acquiring data from a multicontact matrix tactile sensor that has a matrix array of a plurality of cells, the method comprising:

  • scanning the plurality of cells of the matrix array sequentially;

    measuring an electrical characteristic of a first cell of the plurality of cells, the electrical characteristic being representative of a weight of the first cell;

    comparing the weight with a predetermined significant weight value interval;

    storing cell data associated with the first cell, the cell data including the weight and coordinates of said first cell in the matrix array, after said step of comparing has determined that the weight of the first cell lies within the predetermined significant weight value interval;

    verifying an existence of a data record associated with neighboring cells located in a neighboring zone of said first cell; and

    updating the data record associated with the neighboring cells of said first cell by storing the cell data associated with said first cell, and which includes the weight of the first cell, in the data record associated with the neighboring cells, after said step of verifying has determined the existence of the data record associated with the neighboring cells.
