1. A system for monitoring a patient, the system comprising:

  • a controller configured to communicate with at least one sensor coupled to a patient, the controller configured to receive physiologic data about the patient from the at least one sensor;

    a memory configured to store the received physiologic data; and

    a wireless transceiver coupled to the controller and configured to (1) transmit at a preset duty cycle, to a remote server, a subset of the received physiologic data, (2) receive from the remote server a signal generated based on the remote server analyzing the subset of the received physiologic data according to a first technique and thereby identifying a health-related anomaly, and (3) transmit, in response to receiving the signal, a portion of the received physiologic data to the remote server for analysis by the remote server according to a second technique having a higher specificity for the health-related anomaly than the first technique.
