1. A method of forming a syringe or drip chamber, the method comprising:

  • injection molding at least one polymeric material to form a preform that is open at both ends, wherein injection molding the preform comprises;

    forming a first open-ended tip defining an outlet having a first precision molded connector at a distal end of the preform,forming a cylindrical section in fluid connection with the first open-ended tip, andforming a second open-ended tip defining an inlet having a second precision molded connector at a proximal end of the preform that is in fluid connection with the cylindrical section;

    placing the preform into a blow mold die;

    stretch blow molding the preform within the blow mold die, wherein stretch blow molding the preform comprises;

    extending a stretch rod through the second open-ended tip in the proximal end of the preform and into engagement with a rearward portion of the first open-ended tip to seal the outlet,forcing a gas within the preform,preventing the gas from entering the first open-ended tip, thereby maintaining the outlet and the first precision molded connector in an unaltered state, andfurther extending the stretch rod within the preform to extend the preform axially to form the syringe or drip chamber; and

    heat setting the syringe or drip chamber in the blow mold die.
