1. An implantable medical system, comprising:

  • an implantable medical lead, including;

    a lead body having an insulator, a first conductor and a second, wherein the first and second conductors are disposed at least partially within the insulator;

    an electrode; and

    means for selective coupling of the first conductor, wherein the means for selective coupling selectively;

    couples the first conductor to the electrode and decouples the first conductor from the second conductor in a first configuration, andcouples the first conductor to the second conductor to define a test pathway and decouples the first conductor from the electrode in a second configuration;

    an implantable medical device (IMD), including measurement circuitry configured to obtain an indication of a lead-related condition associated with the test pathway of the lead body, wherein the measurement circuitry controls the means for selective coupling selectively to operate in the first configuration and the second configuration.
