1. A method for use in a computer system comprising at least one computer, the at least one computer comprising a plurality of media managers each of which enables the at least one computer to communicate using a respective one of a plurality of networking technologies, the method comprising:

  • using at least one processor to provide at least one management interface that enables an administrator to configure at least one setting, the at least one setting comprising a multi-technology setting that relates to at least a first networking technology enabled by a first media manager and a second networking technology enabled by a second media manager, the multi-technology setting being used by the at least one computer to control how the at least one computer communicates using at least one of the plurality of networking technologies enabled by the plurality of media managers, wherein the multi-technology setting comprises a policy that specifies a limit on a total number of connections allowed at one time for the at least one computer via the plurality of networking technologies.
