8. A dialysis treatment device comprising:
-
a filter that produces a first treated dialysis fluid in a first flow path, the filter including an adsorption layer, a filtration membrane and an ion exchange sorbent; and a urea removal unit that produces a second treated dialysis fluid, the urea removal unit in fluid communication with a filtrate stream of the filter via a second flow path, the urea removal unit including a urease layer, an ammonia sorbent layer and an ion rejection membrane, and wherein the first and second flow paths combine in a third flow path to form a combined treated fluid for subsequent treatment and/or recirculation. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15)
