1. A method for monitoring body functions of a patient comprising:
- utilizing at least one sensor with the patient, the sensor configured to detect an electrical, physical, chemical, or biological property associated with the patient, and operable to convert the detected property into an electric signal;
converting the electric signal from the at least one sensor into digital data;
wirelessly transmitting the digital data from a patient transmitter to an evaluator station located remotely from the patient; and
receiving formatting data from the evaluator station at a patient receiver, wherein the formatting data changes a format for transmission of the digital data from the patient transmitter to the evaluator station,wherein the change in the format for transmission of the digital data changes data redundancy.

Abstract
A method of medical diagnosis and monitoring using equipment that has wireless electrodes, which are attached to the surface of the skin of the patient. The method comprises collection of data from a patient, converting the data to digital form and transmitting the digital data wirelessly from a patient to a base station located away from the patient where in the wireless transmission between the patient and base station is bi directional.
