Abstract

A system includes, but is not limited to: obtaining and one or more physical status sending modules configured to direct sending one or more bendable electronic device physical status related information portions to the bendable electronic device based upon the obtaining of the first information. In addition to the foregoing, other related system/system aspects are described in the claims, drawings, and text forming a part of the present disclosure.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device;

and

circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining from one or more optical fiber sensors information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived radius information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations about one or more hinges of at least one electronic device.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations about one or more display region borders of at least one electronic device.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations within one or more display regions of at least one electronic device.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more of the following types of conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device;

fold, bend, and/or roll.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device having two or more display layers.

10. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device having two or more display surfaces.

11. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for selecting content for display at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

12. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling display of information on one or more portions of one or more outside surfaces of the at least one electronic device at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

13. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling display of information on one or more portions of one or more inside surfaces of the at least one electronic device at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

14. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling display of information on one or more internal display portions of the at least one electronic device at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

15. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for recognizing one or more shapes based at least partly on obtained optical fiber derived information.

16. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for recognizing one or more conformations based at least partly on obtained optical fiber derived information.

17. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic paper assembly of at least one of the following types;

OLED, electrowetting, twist ball, liquid crystal, liquid powder, flexible transistor, light emitting diode, electrophoretic, and electrofluidic.

18. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device having one or more touch input portions.

19. The system of claim 1, further comprising:

circuitry configured for determining position and/or location information associated with the at least one electronic device based at least partly on at least one reference signal.

20. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for selecting at least one application for display at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

21. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling display of information associated with one or more of the following types of applications;

cell phone, television, PDA, personal computer, ebook, calendar, wallet, audio, video, audio-video, game, web browser, mapping, and/or entertainment.

22. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived angle information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

23. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived location information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

24. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for receiving wirelessly transmitted optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

25. The system of claim 1, wherein the system is physically separate from the at least one electronic device.

26. The system of claim 1, wherein the system is at least partly incorporated within the at least one electronic device.

27. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more surface contacts with one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

28. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived geometrical information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

29. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more persistent conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

30. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more transient conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device.

31. The system of claim 1, wherein the circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device comprises:

circuitry configured for controlling display of information at least partly in response to recognition of at least some predetermined configuration data using obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

32. A computer program product comprising:

one or more non-transitory media including at least;

one or more instructions for obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device; and

one or more instructions for controlling display of information at least partly in response to obtained optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.

33. A method at least partly implemented using one or more processing components, the method comprising:

obtaining optical fiber derived information associated with one or more conformations of one or more portions of at least one electronic device; and

controlling display of information at least partly in response to the optical fiber derived information associated with the one or more conformations of the one or more portions of the at least one electronic device.
