- a retaining section for fixing the wiper on a cosmetics storage container, wherein the wiper comprises a plurality of wiper lamellas which shift in a more than just insubstantial extent in a circumferential direction solely under an influence of forces produced by withdrawal of the applicator, and wherein each wiper lamella, viewed in a direction of a projection of a longitudinal axis, takes on a shape of an arc along the circumference that is smaller or equal to an arc of a circle spanned by two legs that include and angle of 50°

A cosmetics unit comprising a wiper for wiping an associated cosmetics applicator, which has a retaining section for fixing the wiper on a cosmetics storage container, wherein the wiper comprises a plurality of wiper lamellas respectively configured in such a way that adjacent wiper lamellas, over at least 25% of their extent in a longitudinal direction (EL), have a distance from each other in a circumferential direction which corresponds to at least a maximum width of one of the wiper lamellas in the circumferential direction, wherein each of the wiper lamellas has a center line extending along a helical line.
