- an inverter, the inverter comprising a first transistor having p-type conductivity and a second transistor having an n-type conductivity;
a third transistor; and
a fourth transistor,wherein a gate of the first transistor is electrically connected to a gate of the second transistor,wherein one of a source and a drain of the first transistor is electrically connected to one of a source and a drain of the second transistor,wherein one of a source and a drain of the third transistor is electrically connected to the other of the source and the drain of the first transistor,wherein the other of the source and the drain of the third transistor is electrically connected to a wiring having a function of supplying first potential,wherein a gate of the third transistor is electrically connected to a gate of the fourth transistor,wherein one of a source and a drain of the fourth transistor is electrically connected to the other of the source and the drain of the second transistor,wherein the other of the source and the drain of the fourth transistor is electrically connected to a wiring having a function of supplying second potential lower than the first potential, andwherein the third transistor, and the fourth transistor comprise an oxide semiconductor.

Abstract
A semiconductor device having a novel structure is provided. The semiconductor device includes a first p-type transistor, a second n-type transistor, a third transistor, and a fourth transistor. One of a source and a drain of the third transistor is connected to a wiring supplying first potential, and the other is connected to one of a source and a drain of the first transistor. One of a source and a drain of the second transistor is connected to the other of the source and the drain of the first transistor, and the other is connected to one of a source and a drain of the fourth transistor. The other of the source and the drain of the fourth transistor is connected to a wiring supplying second potential lower than the first potential. An oxide semiconductor material is used in channel formation regions of the third transistor and the fourth transistor.
