1. A process of providing an aviation navigation chart over a computer network comprising:

  • receiving a request by a server computer from a client computer, the client computer in communication with the server computer via the computer network, the request received over the computer network, the request including an indication of a departure point and a destination point selected by a user of the client computer;

    generating a composite travel navigation chart in response to the request, the composite travel navigation chart having a foreground frame and a background image of a geographic area, the background image including the departure point and the destination point;

    indicating X, Y coordinates of the departure point and the destination point, sending the X, Y coordinates of the departure point and the destination point to the foreground frame, and drawing a route line between the X, Y coordinates of the departure point and the destination point in the foreground frame;

    overlaying the foreground frame on the background image such that the route line extends between the departure point and the destination point included on the background image; and

    displaying the composite travel navigation chart by the client computer.
