1. An implantable device comprising:
- an assembly block;
a plurality of leads radiating from the assembly block, each of the plurality of leads containing at least one electrode such that the electrodes are distributed within a three-dimensional space; and
a biodegradable encapsulant containing the assembly block, the plurality of leads and the electrodes during implantation,wherein the electrodes assume a first distribution while the leads are contained within the biodegradable encapsulant and a second distribution upon degradation of the biodegradable encapsulant.
