1. An implantable medical device comprising:

  • an electrical lead including an elongate lead body having a first end and an opposite second end, the elongate lead body including an outer insulating layer, a conductor disposed within the outer insulating layer, and a plurality of ring electrodes being coupled circumferentially about the elongate lead body, the ring electrodes being spaced apart from each other along the elongate lead body, the elongate lead body being configured to expand from a collapsed delivery state to an expanded state to secure the implantable medical device at an implantation site within a blood vessel in a vasculature of the heart; and

    a control module secured to and in electrical communication with the electrical lead, the control module being configured to be disposed within the blood vessel and including a proximal end, a distal end, a signal management component and a power component disposed in a housing adapted for implantation into the vasculature of the heart, wherein the first end or the second end of the elongate lead body is affixed to and extends from the distal end of the control module;

    wherein the elongate lead body is adapted to expand from a collapsed state that is substantially straight to an expanded state having curvatures to fixate the control module within the blood vessel at the implantation site and is adapted to place one or more of the plurality of ring electrodes in electrical communication with a wall of the blood vessel at the implantation site.
