1. A segment of LED modules for use in a display, comprising:

  • a first electrical connector fixedly attached to a first end of a slave segment of the segment, wherein the segment includes a single master LED module and the slave segment, wherein the slave segment includes a plurality of slave LED modules, wherein the single master LED module controls the slave LED modules of the slave segment;

    a second electrical connector fixedly attached to a second end of the slave segment of the segment;

    a plurality of slave LED modules connected between the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector, the slave LED modules being connected end to end by at least one cable that carries power and data to each of the slave LED modules, wherein the at least one cable is connected to the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector, wherein the single master LED module of the segment is connected to the first electrical connector and provides power and data to each of the slave LED modules of the slave segment through the at least one cable, wherein another single master LED module of another segment is connected to the second electrical connector; and

    a further cable connected directly between the first connector and the second connector for carrying data between the first and second connectors, wherein the further cable is disposed in an aligned direction with the at least one cable, wherein the further cable provides data directly between the single master LED module of the segment and the another single master LED module of another segment,wherein each slave LED module and each single master LED module has its own separate housing that supports a plurality of LEDs.
