1. A method of adjusting imaging at least a part of an object, comprising:

  • splitting electro-magnetic radiation to first and second portions;

    propagating said first portion toward said part and said second portion toward a reference element;

    spectrally diffracting said first portion using a spectral diffraction imaging element;

    spectrally dispersing at least one of said first portion and said second portion using a spectral dispersion element;

    combining between reflections of said spectrally diffracted first portion and said second portion to produce an interference signal;

    capturing an image of the part from said interference signal; and

    presenting said image to a user;

    receiving from a user instructions to optimize the quality of said image;

    using said spectral dispersion element to perform;

    an adjustment of a second order dispersion of at least one of said first portion and said second portion to change a tilt of an image plane in the field of view of said part, oran adjustment of a third order dispersion of at least one of said first portion and said second portion to change a curvature of said image by changing, according to said user instructions;

    wherein said adjustment is made by changing a deviation between the phase of at least one spectral component of said first portion and the phase of at least one spectral component of said second portion.
