1. A seismic sensor array, comprising;

  • a frame comprising a plurality of support arrangements each configured to support one of a plurality of discrete seismic probes, the support arrangements configured to maintain the seismic probes in substantially fixed relative locations while allowing the seismic probes to individually contact and engage the ground; and

    each of the seismic probes comprising;

    a ground engagement member;

    a seismic source mechanically coupled to the ground engagement member, the seismic source configured to transmit energy through the ground engagement member; and

    a sensor assembly attached to the ground engagement member and configured to sense ground vibrations resulting from an impact to the ground generated by the seismic source acting on the ground engagement member and of a type and wavelength that facilitate shallow seismic surveying of underground objects.
