1. A receiving system, comprising:

  • a media control unit which synchronizes an object file among a video transport stream stored in a storage unit and controls an operation of a video recorder;

    a synchronization decomposition unit which searches for synchronized positions of a specified section of the video transport stream based on outputs from a markup language parser unit and the media control unit, wherein at least position information of the specified section of the video transport stream is detected by locating synchronized positions of the video transport stream, wherein the synchronization decomposition unit converts time information into position information by searching the synchronized position with the specified section of the video transport stream based on the outputs from the markup language parser unit; and

    a metadata index unit which systematically stores information output from the synchronization decomposition unit,wherein the media control unit includes an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) unit which controls the metadata index unit such that a user can search information stored in the metadata index unit, andwherein the media control unit detects the position information and generates video indexing at any given time point when the user inputs keyword directly by typing the keyword using a remote control to match with the corresponding position that the user wants to detect.
