1. An orifice introducer device, comprising:

  • a tubular member having a distal end and a proximal end;

    the distal end being adjustable between a first position for insertion into an orifice and a second position once inserted into the orifice, wherein, in the first position, the distal end has a smaller diameter than the proximal end, and wherein the diameter of the distal end is greater in the second position relative to the first position, the distal end of the tubular member including a slit and plurality of holes extending through an outer surface of the tubular member and spaced longitudinally along its length so as to form a row of spaced-apart holes on each side of the slit in the first position; and

    an actuation device having at least one aperture configured to receive therein first and second ends of a string that is positioned through the plurality of holes, the actuation device configured to control movement of the string such that proximal movement of the actuation device draws each side of the slit towards one another to move the distal end of the tubular member to the first position.
