- administering a pharmaceutical composition comprising digestive enzymes to an individual having a PDD and a subnormal level of fecal chymotrypsin, wherein the digestive enzymes comprise amylase, protease and lipase, and wherein one or more symptoms of the PDD are ameliorated.
