1. A method to display a projected parametric curve upon a transparent windscreen head-up display, the method comprising:
- monitoring a desired parametric curve to be projected upon the transparent windscreen, the desired parametric curve comprising a plurality of control points and a plurality of graphic segments based upon the control points, wherein each graphic segment is between adjacent pairs of the control points and comprising an equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be output from a light source regardless of a distance between adjacent pairs of the control points;
for each graphic segment;
monitoring at least one of a respective effective scan length and a respective radius of curvature, the respective effective scan length equal to the distance between a respective adjacent pair of control points, anddetermining a respective luminance indicator indicative of a magnitude of luminance directly proportional to at least one of the monitored respective effective scan length and the monitored respective radius of curvature;
when a variance is determined between the respective luminance indicators for at least two of the graphic segments comprising the equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be output from the light source, modifying the desired parametric curve to be projected based on utilizing each of the respective luminance indicators to command uniform luminance among the plurality of graphic segments; and
projecting the projected parametric curve upon the transparent windscreen based on the modified desired parametric curve.

14. A method to display a projected parametric curve upon a transparent windscreen head-up display, the method comprising:

monitoring a desired parametric curve to be projected, the desired parametric curve comprising a plurality of non-equidistantly spaced control points and a plurality of graphic segments between adjacent pairs of said control points, each of the plurality of graphic segments comprising an equal scan speed, an equal scan time and an equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be output from a light source; for each graphic segment; monitoring at least one of a respective effective scan length and a respective radius of curvature, the respective effective scan length equal to a distance between a respective adjacent pair of control points, and determining respective luminance indicator indicative of a magnitude of luminance directly proportional to at least one of the monitored respective effective scan length and the monitored respective radius of curvature; when a variance is determined between the respective luminance indicators for at least two of the graphic segments comprising the equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be output from the light source, modifying the desired parametric curve to be projected based on utilizing each of the respective luminance indicators to command uniform luminance among the plurality of graphic segments, comprising; maintaining the equal magnitude of luminance intensity in each of the graphic segments to be output from the light source, and adjusting one of the scan time and the scan speed for at least one of the graphic segments based on respective ones of the luminance indicators; and projecting the projected parametric curve upon the transparent windscreen based on the modified desired parametric curve. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

20. An apparatus to display a projected parametric curve upon a transparent windscreen head-up display, the apparatus comprising:

a graphics system for monitoring a desired parametric curve to be projected upon the transparent windscreen, the desired parametric curve comprising a plurality of non-equidistantly spaced control points and a plurality of graphic segments, wherein each graphic segment is between adjacent pairs of the control points and comprises an equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be projected from a light source; monitoring a respective effective scan length for each of the plurality of graphic segments, the respective scan length equal to a distance between a respective adjacent pair of control points; determining a respective luminance indicator for each of the plurality of graphical segments, the luminance indicator indicative of a magnitude of luminance directly proportional to the effective scan length respective to each graphical segment; when a variance is determined between the respective luminance indicators for at least two of the graphic segments comprising the equal magnitude of luminance intensity to be projected from the light source, adjusting the magnitude of luminance intensity of output from the light source for at least one of the graphic segments to be projected based on respective ones of the luminance indicators; modifying the desired parametric curve based on the adjusted magnitude of luminance intensity; and a graphics projection system projecting the projected parametric curve upon the transparent windscreen head-up display based on the modified desired parametric curve.
