1. A system, comprising:
- an inventory management server connected to a network and having a data store;
a receiving terminal located at a facility for fabricating a finished good from a plurality of components;
the receiving terminal configured, in response to a first quantity of one of the components arriving at the facility, to capture first transaction data describing the arrival of the first quantity, and to send the first transaction data to the inventory management server via network;
a warehouse terminal located at the facility and configured, in response to a second quantity, being a portion of the first quantity, of the one component being moved to a production line in the facility, to capture second transaction data describing the movement of the second quantity of the one component, and to send the second transaction data to the inventory management server via the network;
a production terminal located at the facility and configured, in response to a third quantity, being a portion of the second quantity, of the one component being converted into a fourth quantity of the finished good at the production line, to capture third transaction data describing the conversion of the third quantity of the one component, and to send the third transaction data to the inventory management server via the network;
a shipping terminal located at the facility and configured, in response to the fourth quantity of the finished good being shipped from the facility, to capture fourth transaction data describing the shipping of the fourth quantity of the finished good, and to send the fourth transaction data to the inventory management server via the network;
the inventory management server configured to store each of the first, second, third and fourth transaction data in corresponding transaction records in the data store; and
to respond to a request to view transaction data by selecting at least one of the transaction records and transmitting the selected transaction records for the display.
