1. A set-top box supporting management of multimedia display content, the set-top box comprising:

  • at least one processor that, during operation, communicatively couples to a first storage at a first home for storing media, the first storage having an associated first network address, the at least one processor operable to;

    communicatively couple to a display device, at the first home, the display device supporting consumption of the media;

    cause display of a user interface on the display device, the user interface having at least one view representing the media available for the consumption, the user interface supporting selection and scheduling of the media for delivery over a communication network to at least one multimedia display at a second home, the at least one multimedia display including at least one sensor for detecting a condition at the first home resulting in a change in the media displayed, wherein the at least one sensor includes at least one of a visible light motion detector, a passive infrared (PIR) motion detector, an ultrasonic motion detector, and a microwave motion detector; and

    communicatively couple over the communication network to another set-top box at the second home, the another set-top box having an associated second network address authenticated with respect to the associated first network address via server software, the server software maintains a user defined association of the first associated network address and the associated second network address to facilitate delivery of the media over the communication network from a first end user device to the at least one multimedia display at the second home for consumption.
