1. A method, comprising:

  • retrieving a current sensor sensitivity associated with an analyte sensor;

    determining, using one or more processors, a difference between the current sensor sensitivity and a prior stored sensor sensitivity is not within a predetermined range;

    determining, using the one or more processors, a new sensor sensitivity when the difference between the current sensor sensitivity and the prior stored sensor sensitivity is not within the predetermined range;

    determining, using the one or more processors, if a difference between the new sensor sensitivity and one of the current sensor sensitivity or the prior stored sensor sensitivity is within the predetermined range; and

    determining, using the one or more processors, a composite sensitivity based on the new sensor sensitivity and the one of the current sensor sensitivity or the prior stored sensor sensitivity when it is determined that the difference between the new sensor sensitivity and the one of the current sensor sensitivity or the prior stored sensor sensitivity is within the predetermined range.
