1. An anti-microbial polymeric composite comprising:

  • a polymeric body made of a polymeric material selected from the group consisting of polyurethanes, polyamides, polyesters, polyethers, polyorganosiloxanes, polysulfones, polytetrafluoroethylene and polysiloxanes, said polymeric body having a stable hydrophilic polyacrylate coating permanently grafted to the surface of the polymeric body, said coating being ionized and then cation saturated to render it lubricious, and said coating having a silver agent that is released from said polyacrylate coating slowly and continuously for a long and effective period of time.
