1. A warewashing cleaning composition comprising:
- at least one alkali metal hydroxide present in an amount from about 21% to about 80% by weight of the cleaning composition;
at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of;
carboxylates, fatty alcohol sulfates, alkyl polyglycosides, sorbitan and sucrose esters and their ethoxylates, alkoxylated amines, carboxylic acid esters, carboxylic amides, ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block polymers, silicone surfactants, amines, quaternary ammonium salts, betaines, imidazolines, and propionates;
water; and
a polysaccharide graft polymer composition present in an amount from about 0.1% to about 15% by weight of the cleaning composition, the polysaccharide graft polymer composition comprising;
polysaccharide residue in an amount from about 5% to about 90% by weight of the polysaccharide graft polymer composition; and
residue of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer present in an amount from about 10% to about 75% by weight of the polysaccharide graft polymer composition.

9. A method of cleaning a ware with a detergent composition, the method comprising:

mixing water with the detergent composition to form a use solution; and contacting the ware with the use solution, wherein the use solution comprises; at least one alkali metal hydroxide present in an amount from about 150 ppm to about 1500 ppm; at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of;
carboxylates, fatty alcohol sulfates, alkyl polyglycosides, sorbitan and sucrose esters and their ethoxylates, alkoxylated amines, carboxylic acid esters, carboxylic amides, ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block polymers, silicone surfactants, amines, quaternary ammonium salts, betaines, imidazolines, and propionates; anda polysaccharide graft polymer composition present in an amount from about 5 ppm to about 500 ppm, the polysaccharide graft polymer composition comprising from about 5% to about 90% by weight polysaccharide residue and from about 10% to about 75% by weight residue of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and wherein the use solution has a pH in the range from about 10.5 to about 12.5. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14)

15. A method for improving rinse water drainage from ware being washed, the method comprising:
contacting the ware with a use solution that includes; sufficient alkali metal hydroxide to provide the use solution with a pH that is in the range of about 10.5 to about 12.5; at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of;
carboxylates, fatty alcohol sulfates, alkyl polyglycosides, sorbitan and sucrose esters and their ethoxylates, alkoxylated amines, carboxylic acid esters, carboxylic amides, ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block polymers, silicone surfactants, amines, quaternary ammonium salts, betaines, imidazolines, and propionates; andabout 5 to about 500 ppm of a polysaccharide graft polymer composition comprising; polysaccharide residue in an amount from about 5% to about 90% by weight of the polysaccharide graft polymer composition; and residue of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer present in an amount from about 10% to about 75% by weight of the polysaccharide graft polymer composition. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17, 18, 19)
