1. A method comprising:
- providing ballistocardiogram (BCG) measurements from a user while the user is standing on a BCG device;
sensing and capturing information, including signals indicative of physical movement of the user while the user is standing on the BCG device, and providing therefrom captured signals, wherein the signals are indicative of and attributable to noise or interference that is present in the BCG measurements while the user is standing on the BCG device; and
using a processor circuit to perform a step of assessing the signals, which are indicative of the physical movement of the user while the user is standing on the BCG device, as a function of the captured signals; and
in response to the step of assessing the signals, providing filtered or gated recordings of the BCG measurements for BCG diagnostics information.

Abstract
Characteristics of a user'"'"'s heart are detected. In accordance with an example embodiment, a ballistocardiogram (BCG) sensor is used to detect heart characteristics of a user, and provide a BCG output indicative of the detected heart characteristics. The BCG output is further processed using data from one or more additional sensors, such as to reduce noise and/or otherwise process the BCG signal to characterize the user'"'"'s heart function.

13. A method comprising:
-
providing BCG measurements from a user standing while the user is standing on a BCG device that includes a foot-to-foot sensor; sensing and capturing information, including signals indicative of physical movement of the user while the user is standing on the BCG device, and providing therefrom captured signals, wherein the signals are indicative of and attributable to noise or interference that is present in the BCG measurements while the user is standing on the BCG device, and generating information from the information for executing a transform function; and using a processor circuit to perform a step of assessing the signals, which are indicative of the physical movement of the user while the user is standing on the BCG device, as a function of the captured signals and, in response, providing filtered or gated recordings of the BCG measurements for BCG diagnostics information, wherein the step of assessing the signals includes executing the transform function to provide filtered or gated recordings of the BCG measurements. - View Dependent Claims (14)
