Stripper device with retrieval mounting portion and method of use
First Claim
1. A stripper device for a wellhead, the wellhead defining a terminus of an aliphatic hydrocarbon well, the aliphatic hydrocarbon well operating as a stripper well, the stripper device for extracting aliphatic hydrocarbons from the aliphatic hydrocarbon well, the stripper device comprising:
- a lubricator assembly, the lubricator assembly including a lubricator pipe in communication with the wellbore, a wireline, and at least one dipper assembly for collecting liquid aliphatic hydrocarbons in a dipper body and coupled to the wireline, the at least one dipper assembly for traversing within the lubricator pipe and the well when the lubricator pipe is in a first position for operation with the wellhead; and
a retrieval mounting portion, the retrieval mounting portion including a neck and a tapered rim, the retrieval mounting portion at a first end coupled to and extending away from one end of the dipper body, the retrieval mounting portion further configured at a second end to fixedly receive a retrieval tool, wherein the retrieval mounting portion couples with a driver collar in the lubricator to actuate a pivotable flap below the dipper body via linear movement of the driver collar and the retrieval mounting portion.

Abstract
A stripper device for a wellhead defining the terminus of an aliphatic hydrocarbon production well. The stripper device includes a lubricator assembly having a lubricator pipe in communication with the wellhead and a dipper assembly traversing within the lubricator pipe and the well. A controller assembly provides instructions in a computer readable format to regulate the collection of liquid aliphatic hydrocarbons from the well with the dipper assembly. The stripper device includes a recovery assembly having a pivot element coupled to a lubricator pipe and to the wellhead. The pivot element renders the lubricator pipe to communicate with the wellhead in a first position and renders the lubricator pipe apart from the wellhead in a second position to expose the wellhead free of obstructions including those from the lubricator assembly.
