1. A multi-wavelength semiconductor laser device comprising:

  • a block; and

first and second laser diodes producing light having respective different wavelengths, whereinthe block has a groove that has a V-shape when viewed in a plan view of the block, wherein the plan view is taken along a predetermined direction, the groove is defined by first and second side faces extending along the predetermined direction, the first and second side faces are contiguous in the groove, andthe first and second laser diodes are respectively mounted on the first and second side faces of the groove so that the light produced by the first and second lasers is emitted parallel to the predetermined direction.
