    receiving user input directed at the slide control that is operative to move the slide transition screen;

    in response to the user input, dynamically moving the slide transition screen into a position that overlaps one or more portions of the anatomical structure; and

    dynamically modifying the display of the one or more portions of the anatomical structure that become overlapped by the slide transition screen, by displaying the one or more portions of the anatomical structure in a second medical state that is different than the first medical state and that reflects an impact of the medical condition on the anatomical structure.
