- a chipset, located in a vehicle, that communicates with at least one of a plurality of wireless service provider networks, the chipset configured to communicate with a plurality of disparate service providers;
a multimode antenna, in communication with the chipset, that communicates with a wireless base antenna of the at least one of the plurality of wireless service provider networks; and
a medium port that receives a removable medium, the removable medium containing at least one of access numbers, access codes, and access authentication numbers of the at least one of the plurality of wireless service provider networks;
wherein in response to the at least one of access numbers, access codes, and access authentication numbers, the chipset chooses a service provider and corresponding mobile telecommunications standard.
