1. A terminal apparatus comprising:

  • a reception section configured to receive control information, which determines an association of each of layer numbers with one of orthogonal sequences;

    a generation section configured to generate a reference signal using an orthogonal sequence for each of the layer numbers based on the association determined by the control information, the orthogonal sequence being a first orthogonal sequence [1, 1] or a second orthogonal sequence [1, −

    1]; and

    a transmitting section configured to transmit the reference signal multiplexed with a data signal having a bandwidth, which is different from a bandwidth of a data signal transmitted by another terminal apparatus,wherein;

    when the first orthogonal sequence is used, the reference signal transmitted on a first slot is multiplied by 1, and the reference signal transmitted on a second slot is multiplied by 1;

    when the second orthogonal sequence is used, the reference signal transmitted on the first slot is multiplied by 1, and the reference signal transmitted on the second slot is multiplied by −

    1;

    the layer numbers correspond to a first layer, a second layer, a third layer and a fourth layer;

    when two layers are assigned to the terminal apparatus, the terminal apparatus uses the first layer and the second layer; and

    said control information determines one of a plurality of associations including;

    (i) a first association, in which the first layer and the second layer are associated with the first orthogonal sequence, and the third layer and the fourth layer are associated with the second orthogonal sequence;

    (ii) a second association, in which the first layer and the second layer are associated with the second orthogonal sequence, and the third layer and the fourth layer are associated with the first orthogonal sequence;

    (iii) a third association, in which all layers including the first layer, the second layer, the third layer and the fourth layer are associated with the first orthogonal sequence; and

    (iv) a fourth association, in which all layers including the first layer, the second layer, the third layer and the fourth layer are associated with the second orthogonal sequence.
