1. A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- first circuitry to determine a physical layer cell identity corresponding to a cell of an evolved universal mobile telecommunication system terrestrial radio access network (E-UTRAN);
second circuitry to receive;
an indicator of a virtual cell identity via radio resource control signaling, the virtual cell identity different from the physical layer cell identity, anda cyclic shift hop initialization value different from the virtual cell identity; and
third circuitry to generate;
a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) parameter based at least in part on the virtual cell identity, anda cyclic shift for a DM-RS by initializing a pseudo-random sequence generator with the cyclic shift hop initialization value.

Abstract
Disclosed embodiments may include an apparatus having one or more processors coupled to one or more computer-readable storage media. The one or more processors may be configured to transmit and/or receive channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration information, demodulation reference signals (DM-RS), uplink sounding reference signals (SRS), and power control parameters to support uplink coordinated multi-point (CoMP) operations. Other embodiments may be disclosed.
