  • indicating discontinuous reception (DRX) operation of a user equipment (UE) to allow for time-division multiplexed (TDM) operation between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT;

    setting a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) configuration to allow for a HARQ retransmission of a packet of the first RAT, originally received in a first DRX cycle, during a second DRX cycle; and

    enabling the UE to enter an inactive period with respect to the first RAT to allow the second RAT to communicate during the inactive period when pending uplink HARQ retransmissions are expected during the first DRX cycle.
