Abstract

Disclosed is a system comprised of a bag and computer combination which allows the bag wearer to quickly access and use a computer while mobile. The system can be in three forms and all three are used in the same way: a pivoting cover is moved out of the way to expose a display which pivots into the line of sight of the wearer/operator. When assembled, all the components are physically connected and electrical components are electrically connected. Additional components include a keyboard or write pad mounted on the pivoting cover or on a separate pivoting mount near the center bag front, a display prop which braces the display in various angular positions and side pockets fitted for peripherals. An example is cited using a bag with flap mounts and equipment which mounts to the flaps using clamps.

Claims

1. A portable bag mounted electronic display apparatus comprised of:

a. a bag comprised of a front wall, an inside surface, an outside surface;

b. a display panel comprised of a front side including a display, a back side, a proximal edge and a display proximal edge attachment, wherein the proximal edge attachment is pivotally attached to the bag; and

c. an intermediate panel comprised of proximal attachment edge and a distal edge wherein the intermediate panel is located between the display panel proximal edge and a display panel proximal edge attachment with the intermediate panel proximal attachment edge attached to the display panel proximal edge attachment and the intermediate panel distal edge pivotally attached to display panel proximal edge.

2. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprised of a control on the display panel.

3. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprised of an electrical connection configured to electrically connecting the display panel to electrical equipment.

4. The display apparatus of claim 3, wherein the electrical connection passes through the front wall to an interior of the bag.

5. The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein the intermediate panel is further comprised of an input/output device.

6. The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein the display panel proximal edge attachment is configured to removably attach to the bag.

7. The display apparatus of claim 6, wherein the display panel proximal edge attachment is further comprised of two jaws and the bag is further comprised of an attachment flap, wherein the two laws match the attachment flap and removably attach the display panel to the bag.

8. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising an input/output tool on the display panel.

9. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a computing unit panel attached to the inside surface of the front wall, wherein the computing unit panel acts as a rigid support for the front wall of the bag and facilitates the storage of the display panel on the outside of the front wall of the bag.

17. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprised of a top wall and a junction of the top wall and front wall.

18. The display apparatus of claim 17, wherein the display panel proximal edge attachment is pivotally attached to the bag near the junction of the top wall and front wall.

19. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprised of one or more up position attachments located on the bag and designed to hold the display panel in an up position on the bag.

20. The display apparatus of claim 1, wherein the bag is further comprised of bottom bag position pivoting computer equipment mount and the display panel proximal edge attachment is attached to the bag using the bottom bag position pivoting computer equipment mount.

22. The display apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a computing unit panel attached to the inside surface of the front wall, wherein the computing unit panel is electrically connected to the display panel.

23. The display apparatus of claim 2, wherein the control is a pointing device located on the display panel back side.

10. An electronic display apparatus for mounting to a bag comprised of:

a. a display panel comprised of a front side including a display, a back side, a proximal edge and a proximal edge attachment, wherein the proximal edge attachment is configured to pivotally attach to the bag; and

b. an intermediate panel comprised of a proximal attachment edge and a distal edge wherein the intermediate panel is located between the display panel proximal edge and a display panel proximal edge attachment with the intermediate panel proximal attachment edge attached to the display panel proximal edge attachment and the intermediate panel distal edge pivotally attached to display panel proximal edge.

11. The display apparatus of claim 10, further comprised of a control on the display panel.

12. The display apparatus of claim 10, further comprised of an electrical connection configured to electrically connecting the display panel to electrical equipment.

13. The display apparatus of claim 10, wherein the intermediate panel is further comprised of an input/output device.

14. The display apparatus of claim 10, wherein the display panel proximal edge attachment is configured to removably attach to the bag.

15. The display apparatus of claim 14, wherein the display panel proximal edge attachment is further comprised of a two jaws configured to removably attach the display panel to an attachment flap on the bag.

16. The display apparatus of claim 10, further comprised of an input/output tool on the display panel.

21. The display apparatus of claim 10, further comprised of one or more up position attachments designed to hold the display panel in an up position on the bag.

24. The display apparatus of claim 11, wherein the control is a pointing device located on the display panel back side.
