1. A detection system prepared for detecting at least one target molecule, the detection system comprising:
- a first receptacle comprising a detection surface, the at least a first receptacle being substantially free of magnetic and/or electric labels prior to use;
a second receptacle comprising, prior to use, at least one primary magnetic and/or electric label for enabling magnetic and/or electric label assisted detection, the at least one primary magnetic and/or electric label being adapted for interacting with the at least one target molecule;
a first magnetic and/or electric field generator for applying a first magnetic field having a first orientation for transporting the at least one primary magnetic and/or electric label from the second receptacle to the detector surface of the first receptacle, thereby enabling detection of a primary magnetic and/or electric label assisted detection signal;
a third receptacle connected to an interconnection channel between the first and second receptacle and comprising at least one secondary magnetic and/or electric label being adapted for interacting with the at least one primary magnetic and/or electric label;
a second magnetic and/or electric field generator for applying a second magnetic field having a second orientation for transporting the at least one secondary magnetic and/or electric label from the third receptacle to the detector surface of the first receptacle, thereby enabling detection of a secondary magnetic and/or electric label assisted detection signal.

Abstract
A detection system (100) is described for detecting analytes in a fluid sample. The detection system (100) comprises a transporting means (6) for transporting magnetic and/or electric labels (5) after interaction between the sample fluid and the reagents towards a detection receptacle (1). The detection receptacle (1) is initially substantially magnetic and/or electric label (5) free. By transporting the magnetic and/or electric labels (5) after reaction, interference between unreacted reagents and magnetic and/or electric label-assisted detection can be reduced.
