1. Apparatus comprising:

  • an automated banking machine that operates to cause financial transfers responsive at least in part to data read from data bearing records, including;

    a card reader, wherein the card reader is operative to read card data from cards,wherein the card data corresponds to at least one financial account,a manual input device, wherein the manual input device includes a plurality of digit contact points,a cash dispenser,at least one processor associated with the machine, wherein the at least one processor is in operative connection with the card reader, the cash dispenser and the manual input device, wherein the at least one processor is operative to cause the automated banking machine to operate toread card data from a user card,receive at least one input through the manual input device,cause a determination to be made that the card data read form the user card corresponds to an authorized financial account,cause responsive at least in part to the determination and the at least one input, the cash dispenser to operate to dispense cash from the machine,and cause the financial account corresponding to the card data to be assessed a value associated with the dispensed cash,a plurality of light emitters in operatively supported connection with the machine, wherein the plurality of light emitters are configured to emit light at a sufficient intensity to prevent an electronic camera from capturing images showing at least some digit contact with at least some of the plurality of contact points; and

    wherein the plurality of light emitters are operative to output infrared light at the sufficient intensity at a plurality of different frequencies respectively.
