1. A display device comprising:

  • a gate electrode on an insulating surface;

    a first wiring on the insulating surface;

    a first insulating film over the gate electrode and the first wiring;

    a first oxide semiconductor layer for a channel over the gate electrode with the first insulating film interposed therebetween;

    a source electrode in electrical contact with the first oxide semiconductor layer;

    a drain electrode in electrical contact with the first oxide semiconductor layer;

    a second oxide semiconductor layer over the first insulating film;

    a second wiring in electrical contact with the second oxide semiconductor layer, wherein the second wiring is formed over the first insulating film and is electrically connected to the first wiring through an opening of the first insulating film;

    a second insulating film over the first oxide semiconductor layer, the source electrode, the drain electrode, the second oxide semiconductor layer and the second wiring;

    a pixel electrode comprising a transparent conductive film over the second insulating film, the pixel electrode being electrically connected to one of the source electrode and the drain electrode through an opening of the second insulating film,wherein the pixel electrode overlaps the second oxide semiconductor layer to form a storage capacitor between the pixel electrode and the second oxide semiconductor layer with the second insulating film therebetween.
