1. A method to check for permission to record Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) messages, the method comprising:

  • a computer receiving a VoIP message of a participant in a VoIP call session;

    after the computer receiving the VoIP message of the participant in the VoIP call session, the computer automatically transmitting an inquiry on permission to record the VoIP message in response to receiving a command to record the VoIP message at the end of the VoIP call session;

    the computer receiving a response to the inquiry;

    the computer determining that the response to the inquiry grants permission of the participant to record the VoIP message; and

    in response to the computer determining that the response to the inquiry grants permission of the participant to record the VoIP message, the computer recording the VoIP message.
