1. A method executed by a computer system of an electric utility, comprising:

  • receiving, at the computer system of the electric utility and from a group that is formed of different residential customers that purchase electrical power from the electric utility, consolidated requests for power that include future time frames and amounts of power to be used by the group of the different residential customers during the future time frames;

    analyzing, by the computer system of the electric utility, the consolidated requests for power so the electric utility determines times during the future time frames when the group of the different residential customers can utilize the amounts of power being requested; and

    transmitting, from the computer system of the electric utility and to the croup of the different residential customers, the times during the future time frames when the group of the different residential customers can utilize the amounts of power being requested such that the electric utility determines when the group of the different residential customers uses the amounts of power being requested, wherein the future time frames and the amounts of power requested by the different residential customers are consolidated into the consolidated requests for power that are then provided by the group of the different residential customers to the electric utility.
