1. A multitopographic adhesive assembly adapted for selective debonding from a substrate upon contact with a fluid debonding agent, the adhesive assembly comprising:
- a facestock;
a layer of a first adhesive disposed adjacent to the facestock;
a layer of a second adhesive defining an underside adherable to a substrate,wherein the first adhesive is insoluble in the fluid debonding agent, and the second adhesive is highly soluble or swellable in the fluid debonding agent; and
wherein the layer of the second adhesive defines a plurality of flow channels.

Abstract
Various systems, methods and materials are disclosed that enable efficient delivery of an agent into an adhesively adhered article, in which the agent elicits a desired outcome, on demand. This strategy, though general in scope, is also more specifically described with regard to enabling painless or atraumatic removal of products adhering to mammalian tissues such as skin and hair by suitably exploiting the ingress of an appropriate agent or like fluid. Other techniques and articles that aid in the handling or removal of such adhesive products are also disclosed.

46. A method for selectively debonding an adhesive assembly adhered to a substrate by use of a fluid agent, the method comprising:

67. A method for bonding an adhesive assembly to a substrate and subsequently selectively debonding the adhesive assembly from the substrate, the method comprising:

providing a multitopographic adhesive assembly including a facestock, a layer of a first adhesive disposed adjacent to the facestock, a layer of a second adhesive defining an underside, and a release liner contacting the underside of the second adhesive layer; removing the release liner to thereby expose the underside of the layer of the second adhesive; contacting the underside of the layer of the second adhesive to the substrate to thereby bond the multitopographic adhesive assembly to the substrate; providing a fluid debonding agent, wherein the first adhesive is insoluble in the fluid debonding agent and the second adhesive is highly soluble or swellable in the fluid debonding agent; administering an effective amount of the fluid debonding agent to the layer of the second adhesive whereby debonding occurs between the second adhesive and the substrate thereby debonding the multitopographic adhesive assembly from the substrate. - View Dependent Claims (68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87)
