- an extracellular matrix (ECM) composition comprising a bioremodelable component comprising acellular mesothelial tissue, said mesothelial tissue further comprising an exogenously added statin, said statin being linked to said mesothelial tissue, wherein, when said ECM composition is administered to damaged biological tissue, said statin interacts with said mesothelial tissue, wherein said ECM composition modulates inflammation of said damaged biological tissue and induces bioremodeling and regeneration of new biological tissue.
