1. A light emitting device, comprising:

  • a light emitting diode; and

    phosphors to absorb light emitted from the light emitting diode and emit light having a different wavelength from the absorbed light, the phosphors having the general formula MI3-x-y-zCaxMIIySiO5;

    Euz, wherein,MI is at least one element selected from Sr and Ba;

    MII is at least one element selected from Mg, Ba, Cu, Zn, and Mn;
